Risk, Security & Compliance on Steroids

The threatscape has evolved to unprecedented levels as a result of organized crime activities and other covert operations. The nature of this threat is pushing organizations at all levels to focus much more heavily on information security and compliance than ever before. This presentation will discuss the re-emergence of risk management as one of the key ways organizations are dealing with applying finite resources to respond to the threat, as well as review the state-of-the-art in information security technology and compliance tools. The audience will come away with a new found respect for not only the threat, but a greater appreciation of evolving best practices affecting risk, security and compliance management today.

Speaker Bio’s:

John Ramsey is a Senior Product Manager with MegaPath and has more than 30 years of software engineering, network architecture and information security expertise as a former Air Force officer, as well as in private industry . John’s previous industry experience includes jobs at Computer Sciences Corporation, Nortel and Symantec where he held a broad range of positions in product management and security consulting to several of the Fortune 500 prior to joining MegaPath in 2010.

Rick Basile is a Senior Systems Engineer with Fortinet and has more than 20 years of industrial and information security experience and extensive networking and telecommunications expertise.
